In 2019, YBS Commercial Mortgages announced plans to open three regional commercial lending hubs in the Midlands, Wales and the South West and the North West.
John Little, regional director, will lead the YBS Commercial Mortgages team based at the Yorkshire Building Society branch in Birmingham, serving property investors and businesses across the Midlands. John is an experienced commercial property lender with 15 years working at Santander prior to taking up this role.
The Midlands team is completed by Khaild Mahmood and Sophie Jones. Khalid is well known in the Midlands commercial market and brings a breadth of commercial property sector knowledge to the team, having gained experience working in a number of other lenders.
Sophie has been promoted internally within the Society and will provide support to John and Khalid having experience of working with Yorkshire Building Society systems.
The establishment of the Midlands team completes the first phase of YBS Commercial Mortgages expansion following the recent establishment of regional offices in Bristol and Manchester.
YBS Commercial Mortgages is committed to lending £300 million in 2020 in support of its national growth plans.
