"The commercial investment market has been evolving and it’s vital that lenders meet landlords changing needs."

Shawbrook has revamped its commercial investment proposition to better support the professional investor and landlord community.

Highlights of the new offering include improved rates on existing CI1 and CI2 products, loans starting from £50,000, terms between 2 and 25 years and a new complex commercial product (CC1).

The new product is designed to support experienced landlords on projects that sit outside of letting a property on a standard FRI lease, such as serviced offices or multi-let units on licences.

Daryl Norkett, head of products and markets for Shawbrook Commercial Mortgages, said: “Over the last few months, we’ve been working hard to take our commercial investment proposition to the next level and we’re excited to now share our new product set. The commercial investment market has been evolving and it’s vital that lenders meet landlords changing needs.

"Our new small loan product enables us to support smaller landlords looking to diversify their buy-to-let portfolios with commercial investment property, whilst our new Complex Commercial product demonstrates our appetite to work with experienced landlords on more bespoke lending requirements.”

Rob Lankey, director of commercial investment, added: “Fundamental to the exciting launch of our new commercial investment proposition is the team behind it. Shawbrook has assembled a team of industry experts with a strong track record of creating lending solutions to meet the various and sometimes complex needs of commercial property investors.

"Our goal is to build an industry leading proposition for brokers and borrowers alike, all underpinned by skilful execution and common sense lending. Whilst political and economic turbulence is creating market uncertainty, the commercial investment market Shawbrook serves is characterised by resilience and complexity. We believe many opportunities remain for specialist solutions from a specialist lender and Shawbrook are superbly placed to assist, supported by these new products.”
