A trio of new starters are helping to bolster Shawbrook’s Business Corporate Lending team after landing new roles in the department over the last three months.
James Hogan joined the firm in August as Director, focussing on origination of deals in the South and brings with him more than 17 years’ experience in financial services, most recently having worked at IGF on ABL lending. Prior to this, he spent time at a leading Fintech, helping simplify processes for SMEs to access finance. Previously, James worked at RBS Group for 14 years, predominantly supporting businesses with leverage finance solutions.
James commented on his new role: “We have incredible, innovative and ambitious SMEs here in the UK and I’m passionate about giving their owners and management teams the highest quality service and the tailored financing solutions they need.
“Shawbrook’s culture is compelling. The Bank operates through teamwork, a focus on deep customer relationships and an entrepreneurial spirit. The proposition we can offer is exciting too, covering asset-based lending and leverage finance which means being able to help more businesses across a range of needs. I’m looking forward to using my skills and experience to deliver more exceptional outcomes for Shawbrook clients.”
Two more new recruits followed with Paul Miller joining in September as an Associate Director and Fahim Rahman joining this month (October) as an Analyst. Both Paul and Fahim will provide a much-needed resource to support the team in what has been a record-breaking year so far.
Oliver Wilson, Managing Director and Head of Commercial Loans at Shawbrook Bank, comments on the growth of the team: “On behalf of the Corporate Lending team, I’m delighted to welcome our new colleagues aboard.
“It’s an exciting time to join Shawbrook. During the first half of the year alone, the Corporate Lending team completed 30 transactions, providing £125m of new facilities to high-quality UK businesses across a range of sectors including precision manufacturing, professional services, technology, wealth management and training and education.
“I’m certain this talented trio will play their part in helping us at Shawbrook support even more UK businesses to adapt, evolve and thrive.”
