"It’s been a tricky couple of years for SMEs but there’s so much hunger and innovation waiting to be unlocked"

James has covered major ground throughout his career of more than 20 years in financial services, having been area director at HSBC for the last decade where he oversaw several branches, before moving onto Skipton where he was regional manager for the Southeast of England.

James has expert knowledge on the financial advice market and most recently, set up and launched a financial advice introducer channel at Skipton, which grew from three to over 2,000 people across the network in three years.

With growth at the forefront of the business’s priority list, James’ focus this year will be to create and launch a brand-new channel aimed at educating and expanding the partnerships between accountants and their clients with the help of technology and financial resources. This will enable accountants to broaden their offering to their client pool as well as enhance the client, accountant, and SME business owner relationship.

James will also be looking to further expand the division and ensure the partnerships team and NCF’s client base continues to grow.

Chirag Shah, founder and CEO, Nucleus Commercial Finance, commented: "James will undoubtably prove to be a great asset to Nucleus; his appointment is a clear sign of our commitment to delivering best in class products and services to current and future clients. The skills both administered and gained from James throughout his career makes him a brilliant fit for the role as partnerships manager.

“Nucleus prides itself on providing agile, fast, and innovative financial solutions that deliver the proper support to the growth ambitions of the UKs SMEs. With our growing team, we are expertly placed to build on our reputation as the best in the business.”

James Webb added: “Nucleus has an outstanding reputation in the industry and I’m excited to join a business with a clear purpose that the team lives and breathes. It’s been a tricky couple of years for SMEs but there’s so much hunger and innovation waiting to be unlocked – Nucleus is determined to help them do so. I’m looking forward to really being at the vanguard of commercial finance, shaping its future, and helping businesses thrive with Nucleus.”
