Shave follows ex-Funding Circle Head and Merchant Money CEO, Luke Jooste, who sees the appointment as a vital part of his growth strategy.
Jooste said:
“The next 12-24 months for Merchant Money will see a great focus on growth. There is uncertainty in the market at the moment but with that comes opportunity. We’re gathering the right experts, investing in the right operating models and the right credit risk underwriting for the task.”
Prior to Funding Circle, Shave refined his skillset in previous client services and relationship management roles at Northern Trust and SecFinex Ltd as well as J.P. Morgan and Lloyds TSB.
Shave added:
“I’m incredibly excited to be joining Merchant Money at such a key phase of growth for the company.” says Shave. “The foundations have already been laid. Merchant Money is a profitable business that has proven itself within the UK SME lending sector. As such, the opportunity to scale the business to the next level is huge.”
