"His forensic knowledge of the compliance agendas of major financial institutions will be crucial. "
SME debt finance platform, Code Investing, has appointed Mark Aston as director of intermediaries and business development.
Mark joins from Moore Blatch Solicitors and prior to that spent almost a decade at Santander Corporate & Commercial Banking in a business development and intermediary relationships role. Before that he worked for four years at Abbey Commercial Mortgages.
Mark's role will be to raise awareness across the broker community of Code Investing's institutional funding lines, through which it can make unsecured business loans of between £500,000 and £5m.
Mark Aston said: "I'm really looking forward to re-engaging with all the intermediary and broker connections I’ve made over the years. My passion has always been to provide businesses with best in market finance solutions and in my new role I plan to make Code the number one technology platform for brokers seeking debt products for their clients. At the same time as bringing business in, I'm also looking forward to helping Code build out its range of funding lines and establishing it as a key strategic partner to non-bank lenders around the UK."
Ayan Mitra, CEO of Code Investing, added: "Mark's detailed knowledge of the intermediary sector and strong contacts in it will be invaluable as we seek to build awareness among introducers of the various finance options we offer. At the same time, his forensic knowledge of the compliance agendas of major financial institutions will be crucial. We believe we offer a quality and speed of service that are unrivalled in the market and are looking forward to forming lasting relationships with brokers around the UK."
