B-North announces trio of hires ahead of Q2 launch

New Manchester-based SME lending bank, B-North, has expanded its team with three new hires ahead of its Q2 launch date.

Paul Sleney joins as head of internal audit with more than 25 years’ experience in audit, conduct, risk and regulatory assurance at some of the UK’s biggest banking names including Lloyds Banking Group and HSBC.

Marika Shand will become the firm's senior management accountant and joins from npower. Marika will work on B-North’s cash flow forecast, budget and financial management as the company moves through its licencing process and launch.

Sophia Ramsbottom joins B-North as a marketing manager to help the firm reach both borrowers and brokers. She will also lead on new product launches and services between B-North’s different regional pods, the first of which will be in Manchester, (followed by Leeds, London and Birmingham). Sophia joins from Citation Professional Services which specialies in health & safety, HR and employment law.
